( First off, give @katiedrawsstuff a HUGE round of applause for her jaw-dropping work on the Zine’s cover! It’s a truly beautiful work of meep morp! )

Pre-Order the Zine here <—- !

That’s right! After some kerfuffle with the local weather, I’m pleased to announce that Pre-Orders for Ocean Gem Zine 2017 are officially open! All of our 74 artists are working hard on their pieces, and I have no doubt that this Zine will be truly incredible!

I aim to do a similar concept that I utilized in my last Zine project, Log Date Zine 2016, where further towards the Zine’s completion, I’ll post a Mega Meep Morp Preview here on this blog to give everyone a little sneak preview! So, stay tuned for that near the end of July/Early August! :)

Take a look at the superb artist roster here !

In the meantime, go nab yourself a copy, as Ocean Gem Zine will only be available for Pre-Order until September 17th of this year! Further details can be found in the description on the Storenvy page!

Anonymous asked: Sorry if I'm bothering you or annoying you in any way with this question, but you had posted rules about what we can/can't do with your art. Some where in there it said we can't put it in videos, so does that mean we can't use it in MEPs or anything if the sort? I'm really sorry if this has been asked before. I hope I didn't anger you,

Yeah I’m not comfortable with people taking my art and using it as part of projects that I don’t know about and am not participating in myself. That includes pretty much all video projects including MEPs, AMVs, fanart slideshows, theory/meta videos, video thumbnails, etc. It’s really uncomfy for me to stumble across my art in a setting where I’m not expecting it and it’s doubly upsetting when the videos are monetized.

I’m not upset or angry, thank you for asking for clarification instead of using my art without asking.

I guess I’m officially throwing myself into the “pearl did it” side of the fandom. or at the very least played a large role in the events that led to pink diamond’s death

otaku-daddy asked: Hi! Love your work! You usually give awesome art advice so I wanted to ask- I saw you use a Cintiq. I'm on a Bamboo that I've had for quite a a few years now. The hurdle I can't seem to overcome no matter what I do (practice, pen settings, etc.) is brush stability. My lines always come out like I'm working on a boat in the middle of a hurricane. I was wondering if you had any advice for that or if you felt the Cintiq gives more stability. Any advice is welcome! Have a great day!

I’ve never used a bamboo before but wacom drivers in general are made out of cotton candy and paperclips and jittery/skipping lines seem to be a problem with all of their products. If it’s really bad you might just need to uninstall your drivers and reinstall them again (wacom’s site will have updated drivers for you to download)

I can only compare to my old intuos but I do like the cintiq a lot better. Having more space to draw in helps with making nicer lines. (the bigger a motion you can make with your arm the smoother your lines will be) and the pen sensitivity feels a little nicer too.

Some other things you might try though are drawing on a larger canvas/at a higher resolution. The more pixels there are in your image the less noticeable it is when a line jitters a few pixels out of place. The way you position your tablet can make a difference too. I draw with my tablet propped up on a little pillow bc it’s easier for me to draw at an angle. I hope this was a little bit helpful!

Anonymous asked: What did you mean when you said you didn't flatten the images?

I draw using multiple layers on photoshop and flattening it merges all the visible layers into one layer. It’s good to do before you resize a drawing because sometimes layer styles don’t scale down with the rest of the image if you leave all the layers separate and it can look off. In the last post I decided it wasn’t too bad of a mistake and didn’t want to reopen all the files in PS to fix it for a silly joke but it’s something i just should’ve done in the first place. 乁(ツ)ㄏ
